If you are talking about Fahrenheit: Congratulation! Awesome cooling!!! :D

If you are talking about Celsius: I expect the AS-302T to be equipped with an Intel Atom N2600 (moderators please correct me if I'm wrong). The highest maximum operating temperature is 100 °C. So I wouldn't be too much concerned. Single cores can still handle 90 °C.

Depending on how many proceses are running the CPU temperature deviates. Recheck your temperature when you know that your system is idle. Did you set your Fan speed to automatic? Running fans on low speed and running the system on high load can cause your CPU temperature to rise unusually.

Ah ok thanks... Yea it is set to Auto.

Its not really doing much just running a PLEX server which is not actually getting used a lot at the moment.

This also happens to me

72% CPU temp,

Code: Select all

Mem: 627672K used, 85968K free, 0K shrd, 148092K buff, 176268K cached
CPU: 0.9% usr 4.2% sys 0.0% nic 94.7% idle 0.0% io 0.0% irq 0.0% sirq
Load average: 5.92 6.03 5.97 3/230 8974

Its a huge load average for what seems like an idle box. Is this normal ?

Kindly note that if you have set your fans on "low" speed and the temperature rises the speed will adjust nevertheless in order to protect your hardware. ;)
Remember that noisy fans are a sign of high performance fans! If you intend to replace the fan be sure that the new fan is able to transport as much air as the original one. . .

The fans in my Asustor NAS can run 15,000 RPM and they are noisy too - but as my NAS is in the cellar the CPU temperature is presently at 30 °C, the fans run on low speed and I couldn't care less about the noise downstairs... :D

Hi,

i think there ist something wrong, my as-302t have an idle time at 99.4% and a load average from 5.21. That is too much. Take a look in this file: "cat /proc/cpuinfo". The system have 4 prossesors, that mean, if you have a load average from 4 the system is 100% busy.

it doesnt quite translate like that, But yes. Mine is over 5 also. The CPU processing is low. but load is huge.

Is there any way to reduce this ? or is the load value wrong for some reason ?
