In my case

- Go to bios, set it to legacy, save & restart
- Boot on usb (debian or something else)
- at the partion time delete all raid and partitions on hard drive & on the asustor card (512mo of space)
- create the raid partion
- create a primary partion on the asustor card (dont remember the name sorry)
- mount this partition as boot and set it a bootable
- continue install on the raid partition
- at grub, selecte the asustor card to put the grub
- finalise
- reboot
- well done

On asustor AS 602T. Debian 11 is working well!

You can make a dump of that DOM for safe backups, then turn it off from the BIOS. By turning it off, your full blown OS will boot up faster. However I noticed the BIOS is buggy and there'll be no way of bringing back the DOM unless you reflash the BIOS.

This was a great information. For me Linux is mandatory so Asustor got a new customer.

Thank you.

Great! Thx for the support.

Asustor should do some support and marketing in this. Im sure it would be a great success. A lot of more devices sold.
