Those information is outdated. You don't have to install, just enable it in the ADM Portal -> Services -> Terminal -> SSH. You can also enable SFTP if you need it. Then use putty to ssh, note you can only use admin account to ssh.

- 4x10TB Toshiba RAID10 Ext4-Journal=Off
External 5 Bay USB3:
- 4x2TB Seagate modded RAID0 Btrfs-Compression
- 480GB Intel SSD for modded dm-cache (initramfs auto update patch) and Apps

That "Knowledge Base" is also outdated, replaced by https://www.asustor.com/en/knowledge?id=5

ok, not a bookshelf or dev forum like stackoverflow ...
If I want develope apps, (I am experienced in Windows C++/C# mostly desktop) which technologie do you suggest and where is best entry point for a newbie in linux and app developement ?

If you want to develop apps, then you should start with the Developer Corner, need to sign up to access all the tools.
