(SOLVED) Problem with lounching Virtualbox

Hello,

I have a 7004T but when I tray to lounch a VM in Virtualbox.

I have always this message:

Hi,

If you use Entware-ng also ... a problem exist because Virtualbox don't accept symlink for /opt

You can :
remove Entware-ng APKG
or better ... just patch it using this procedure (5 secondes)

If you don't use Entware ... it's also the same case with Otware ... BUT no patch as I know

In other case verify if /opt is a folder and not a link using ANY console (ssh)

Hum! ... perhaps it's not Entware ... did you use it ?? do you have Optware ???

Please provide a list of your apkg
in a console (ssh) with root or admin and your_password do :
apkg --list
then provide the list of root folder :
ls -l /

Hi,

Optware ... create a link for /opt not supported by Virtualbox ...

I don't know if a patch exist ... ask Asustor ...
if not ... remove Optware ... and perhaps reboot ... if /opt is not re-created as a folder (or do it yourself)

A new version of Entware-ng (full up to date replacement for Optware) will be launch in few hours (last tests to do) ... so you can replace Optware by Entware-ng ... this version (or the previous + a patch provide also in entware announcement topic) ... manage to keep /opt as a REAL folder to avoid Virtualbox problem ...
