External Backup - Home folder not showing up

Post by Emacs »

Hi there,

I've setup my AS1002T (RAID1), created two users and their home folders and everything works fine so far.
To create a backup I've attached an external USB3 drive and use the "Backup & Restore" app from ADM, going to "External Backup".
When creating a new backup job, I'm presented only the default folders "Music", "Public", "Video", and "Web".
The home folders of my two users don't show up.

I've ssh access to the 1002 and saw that the folders listed belong to "admin:administrators", while "home" belonged to "root:root".
But even chmod and chgrp that and restart the NAS didn't change the backup options.

Has anyone an idea what might causing this?
Where is the configuration for the backup jobs anyways? I do know that the backups are run by /usr/builtin/sbin/extbkagent , but I cannot figure out, there it is reading the backup configs from.

Cheers,

Robin

Asustor designs this way in purpose. You can use admin account and enable "user homes" shared folder. Then, all of user "home" will show up in admin's functions.
