I have a AS5004T with 8GB of RAM, with a single 6TB WD Red pro HDD.
I am going to get a second 6TB Red pro HDD and configure it as RAID 1.
1) How long will it take to build the RAID 1 array, taking Into account my existing 6TB disk is half full?
2) Will I lose access to my files while the RAID 1 array is being built. (I do have a realtime synced backup on my Windows 2016 Server, so not the end of the world.)
3) Is thier anyway of doing snapshots of normal SMB shares on the AS5004T its self. I know you can with iSCSI Luns.
Regards: Elliott.

Hello Eveares,
1. The rebuild will take from a couple of hours to about a day. You can actually make the rebuild faster by modifying settings on the NAS, but I would just wait for it to finish.
2. No, you will not loose access, it will just be slower.
3. Not that I am aware of.
Regards, Kapitein Haak.
