Raw disc problem

Post by wonderwizard »

Hi

I have a Asustor AS-3102T with 2 sata 3,5 discswith totally 2,75 tb

I removed both to install a 1 tb 2,5" ssd disc, formated and installed it and when this was done, I tryied to mount one of the 3,5 discs to copy the data in to the ssd, but this is not possible, why ? it wants to add a new disc and format it, but I just want the data of the to 3,5 discs

if I remove the 2,5 ssd disc and mount the both 3,5 discs, it wants to format and install... gahhhhhh

what to do ?

Make a ticket with Asustor at http://support.asustor.com and see if they can help you there.

One warning, though.... If you had the 2 drives in a Raid of any type, you need both of them in order to access the data. So that means you are going to have to use another drive, like an external, to move the data off of them, then onto the new drive in your system, once it's ready to go....
