How to back up the "Home" folder?

Count me in the people who can not backup their Home Directories. I do have Disable file access to this shared folder unchecked (it never has been). I tried to turn it on so I could turn it back off, but the system will not allow me to do it because google sync and photo3 are both uploading to it.


I have tried internal, external and to setup a RSYNC instance.

Not sure what's your problem. It's better to post a screenshot here...
