Raid 1 EXT4 to Snapshot backup with MyArchive?

I have 2 x 8TB EXT4 setup in Raid1 on my 6604T.

I have an 8TB disk setup in a MyArchive bay to use Backup and Restore from my Raid1 to MyArchive disk.

I usually keep that disk unmounted and physically ejected. I run the Backup and Restore when I feel the need and then eject.

Is there a better way to do a backup from Volume 1 to that MyArchive disk so that I would have some versioning of Volume 1?

I see that I can create a btrfs MyArchive disk, but not sure the best way to backup Vol 1 to the MyArchive dick that I can eject to keep it offline.

Or am I missing a better solution entirely?
