A5304T Network dead

Post by westfielder »

Hi all

Is there any way to network into NAS with USB? The ethernet network lights have stopped flickering (on front and on physical ports) and I can't get a connection.
(I tried the direct connection. Used same cables and router etc. to access my QNAP NAS no problem)

Failing that...
If I get another identical NAS -can I just swap the drives over and access data?

Any suggestions gratefully received

There are 3 ways that you can try:
  • Yes, you can get another Asustor NAS (it's better to select Intel CPU model that is similar to yours). Put all old disks to the new NAS. Turn it on.
  • Get USB 2.5GbE dongle (AS-U2.5G2). https://shop.asustor.com/index.php?rout ... uct_id=106
  • Send your NAS back to Asustor to fix the LAN port.
