Newly Created Shared MAP disappears incl. data

I created some time ago a Backup MAP for storing my pc's disk images an the NAS. However if I now create a sub-map it will be there for apr. 20 sec. including the stored data and then all is gone. (I lost important backups 
)
I only have the problem in this particular map. If I create a new map and store data in under an other exsisting root map it all works well. Its really spooky.
What can be the reason for vaporising data and how can I retrieve the lost data ?
