NAS> Remote NAS

Post by Michael RT »

Hi Guys,

I have 2 sites each with a NAS. Previously I had the sites backing up data site 1 > Site 2 and vice versa. The only way I found to achieve this was using EZ Sync local computers to NAS the DataSync between the 2 NAS's. For some reason site 1 data sync is now not working but site 2 is still working. Any ideas or a better way to fix this?

Hi,

For my own, from long time, I used Syncthing (I used Entware APKG package, but APKG exist also ... not tested ...)
I have put Syncthing on top of tailscale (Wireguard private VPN) and synchronize my dev. folder including chroot and multi-arch) between two NAS.

It's around 20 GB ... it's now two way sync, before I used master-slave mode to only backup the master.

Not sure this is a correct response for you ... it's just my own choice based on my own request.
Philippe.
