Greetings all, I am trying to run wordpress for testing themes, and layout, and other stuff. I thought that would have been simple as a one click install, but not it is asking me to create a configure file.

Thanks for the input in advance

That usually means that you do not have permission to write the file to the Wordpress directory during the install. If you know how to change the permissions, that is one way to fix the problem. Then try the install again.

The other way is to do what the installer tells you to do- download the sample config file, alter it to match user, password for SQL database. Then upload it renamed config.php.

WOW! setup a database, that's another whole other league for me. Ok I will see what I can do, and check back in a day or two.
Ok,I install PostgreSQL, and PHPPGadmin, going to tinker with those.

Thanks for your input
