Hi all,
Is there a way to change the 404 Page on the Asustor web server?
Many thanks

Isn't the default page for web server looks like: congratulations, you have successfully enabled the web server on your Asustor NAS. To begin hosting your website on the NAS, simply upload your web page to the (Web) shared folder...

And did you forward the port 80 in Ezrouter for the web service?

Hi Here,
You can create 404 page as "default" page.
for Ezrouter :login ADM-> settings-> Ease of Access -> EZ-Router -> Port Forward -> can see port 80 but not yet auto open port 80, you need manually.

default is in /volume0/usr/builtin/etc/apache2/error but you may be better doing something likegianluigi1982 wrote:Hi all,

Hi ho66es,
I just tried to follow the second tip you gave me.
I followed your link but even if I created the .htaccess the 404.html I created doesn't appear but the "standard" 404 page continues showing up.
How to access to the /volume0/usr/builtin/etc/apache2/error ?
I tried by going to "connect to server" and typing in the string you wrote but it seems not working.
Could you please help me with a "step by step" guide?
Thank you

Re: 404 Page on Asustor
the honest answer is, if you can't edit that file with the info I gave you, you probably shouldn't as you have potential to cause issues if you do something wrong.gianluigi1982 wrote:ho66es wrote:default is in /volume0/usr/builtin/etc/apache2/error but you may be better doing something likegianluigi1982 wrote:Hi all,

probably best to put it in as a feature request
If you really want a step by step guide, read up on using ssh to connect to your nas and using vim to edit documents, then ask again. An alternative if using windows would be winscp. Again both methods have the possibilty to cause issues

Really thanks ho66es,
I studied a little bit and I get access by ssh to my nas.
Well, not so easy but affordable.
Just a question?
Is there a way to edit default file not with VIM editor?
something like a redirect to another file in a known position in the NAS (Web folder?) to be able to freely create a brand new PHP or HTML 404 Page and pointing to it?
Thanks,
Gianluigi

Re: 404 Page on Asustor
Do you have any advice also for my other post regarding the php mail() function ??
I tried editing the php.ini (by ssh) but the mail() function doesn't work on my wordpress websites.
It seems that the only way to use contact page on wordpress is to implement wp_mail() as a third part plug in.
Unfortunately I have to use a platform which requires the mail() working.
I activated the mail server app on the NAS but evidently I have not set everything well.
Thanks for any suggestion.
