PHPBB Registration
I've noticed that the registration page on PHPBB discloses my IP address. How can I remove or edit that part of the registration text? This is a security risk as it opens up hacking on my IP. I use a DDNS for my URL. Is this the problem?

Re: PHPBB Registration
what ip are you trying to hide? as a ddns url will still give your external ip address? all a url is really is an easy? way to read/remember ip addresses.
Just go to a command prompt and type in ping www.google.com

Re: PHPBB Registration
Ultimately I want to mask, hide or whatever term might fit, my WAN address. For instance, when you go to cnn.com, you can right click on the webpage and look at properties. It doesn't give the numeric IP but rather the text or easy address. Not so for my Asustor DNS address. In a nutshell, I want to make it as difficult as possible for someone to see my WAN address. I have other devices connected to my WAN address that can possibly be hacked if it is known. I think I may be asking for something that's impossible but I'm not sure. When I set up my local IP address in PHPBB as the domain name then logouts do not redirect back to the index from outside (internet), they get redirected to an error. If I put my DNS URL easy name as the domain name, then yes redirects are fine but then one can see my full numeric IP in the 'Registration' page. Is this just a simple .htaccess edit? Not sure. If it is, I don't know what the edits would look like. Any help in this area would be awesome!
Update 4/10/2014: I believe I will solve this problem by utilizing a reverse proxy service such as CloudFlare. That may do the trick!
