Virtual Host with or without "www" prefix

I set up a virtual host "myhost.dyndns.org". This works fine.

I tried prefixing the url with www ("www.myhost.dyndns.org") and I'm just getting the Congratulations - You have successfully enabled the Web server on your ASUSTOR NAS message.

I would like the site to work with or without the www prefix. Do I need to create a second virtual site to work with the www prefix or will naming the virtual site " *.myhost.dyndns.org" perform this function?

Jim

I think you will need to create two vHost. Or maybe you can consult this with blackstar and he can give you some better suggestions : )

Can we have more than 8 virtual hosts? With needing to setup 1 with www and another without, it's not very flexible if as we can only really have 4.

You can have more than 8 wirtualhosts, if you go from shell.
I wrote a tutorial:
