Mount WebDAV cloud using davfs2 on your NAS

Post by Alchi »

Hi everyone.
I have a cloud (like everyone I suppose) and want to use it for backup.
Unfortunately, ADM from the box supports only Amazon S3.
But many cloud services nowadays supports WebDAV and it would be great if we will be able to use it at our's NAS.
I have found some instructions at the internet how to connect linux-based devices (routers, NAS'es etc) to WebDAV cloud using ipkg and davfs2. Its allows you to mount your cloud just in local folder and then use it like usual folder (on-the-fly and like if it were just internal folder).
Here is the better one I guess (for Synology NAS) http://translate.google.com/translate?s ... _einbinden
Originally its on German language.
Here is some additional comments from davfs2 author http://savannah.nongnu.org/support/?108022

So introduction was long but I guess the question now is obvious - could somebody adapt Synology manual to ADM?
I am not familiar with Linux\Unix\Terminal etc. and for me its looks like some kind of magic of sort of it...
