The Hi-Res Player is a music player which you can play the Hi-Res Audio (higher than CD quality - lossless music format - FLAC, WAV, DSD etc) :P

It is the App which integrated the MPD (Music Player Daemon )with Rompr UI.

Hi-Res Player (Beta)

1) Support formats:

Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, Opus, WavPack, MP2, MP3, MP4/AAC, DSD (.dff)

2) How-To:

a) After the Hi-Res Player is launch, please click the 'Add folder to Music collection' button ( located in 'Top-left'). You should select which folders you would like to add to 'Music Collection.

Hi-Res Player will scanning the folders to add the Music Collection.

b) When you have the new contents in Music folder, you can click on Setting icon , and click 'Update Music Collection Now' to update the database

c) When you plug a USB DAC devices into the NAS, please click on Setting icon, and go to 'Audio Output'

d) click refresh buttons to rescan the devices.

You might see such kind of devices:

- MPD http stream

- ALSA device(default)

- iFi(by AMR) HD USB Audio , USB Audio(card: 1-0)

PS: iFi devices is what I connected a USB DAC - iFi nano iDSD

e) you can decide which devices you want to enable/disable.

3) Support S/PDIF:

For the AS5, AS7, they also support the S/PDIF interface.

You can check the 'Audio Output device ' to disable or enable the related device. ( default setting for Audio Output device will be enable all audio devices)

4) DSD (Direct Stream Digital) support:

a) For AS7, it can play the DSD file directly.

However , if you want to listen to high resolution audio. A USB DAC which support DSD will be recommended.

b) For AS6, AS5, AS3, AS2, you will need to plug a USB DAC which support DSD.

1. Please click the Setting , and drag to 'Audio Output device '

2. Disable all other devices, but enable only the USB DAC which support DSD

The DSD file will need to be played by USB DAC .

Ex:

iFi nano iDSD is a devices which has been tested with ASUSTOR NAS.

4) Http stream:

When there is a audio playing , you can click on the 'Play' button closed to Setting icon(right sides).

a) It shall open a new Windows to play the streaming to your PC.

b) To support http streaming to your web browser, please install VLC plug in for your web browser.

5) Mobile App to control this App:
