Where does motion detection occur?

Postby sm3rt » Mon Oct 01, 2018 10:44 am

I'm trying to setup a couple of camera's with motion detection. One is generic ONVIF (unlisted Dahua) and the other a listed Dahua.

The ONVIF seems to be triggering motion on leaves moving, the Dahua one one trigger on anything. Is the motion detection happening in the camera or on the NAS? Can I use some of the smarts in the camera to mask area's etc?

Thanks Quentin
