Not able to record anything though camera works fine

Hi,
I have a Foscam FI8918W (supported) camera. I can see Live view and was able to setup camera correctly in the Surveillance center. However, the surveillance center doesn't record anything from camera. I tried manual mode of recording, event schedule and record schedule. Nothing gets recorded. The logs show for example motion detected by the camera etc. There are no files in the Surveillance center folder of any kind. The folder is empty. What is missing in the setup? Thanks for any help.
