Hikvision DS-2CD2342WD-I IP Camera works but no motion

Hi,
Please could you help?
I've got a Hikvision DS-2CD2342WD-I IP camera which is found in Surveillance Center using ONVIF if I manually add it. 2 questions please:
1. It's not yet on the compatibility list. How often is camera compatibility updated?
2. Although it is found in Surveillance Center and the feed displayed in Live View. Motion Recording does not work. Could it be that it does not work with ONVIF and I should wait (wasted a lot of time trying to get this to work) for full compatibility?
