Something must have happened to my system. I am not unable to load surveillance center using chrome. It keeps on prompting me to install the viewer and when I do, the installer just stops half way and disappears.
IE works on my system. Just not chrome.
Any ideas what is wrong and what I can do to rectify it please.
Thanks!

It could result from the change of Google Chrome's policy. You may try the following:

Re: Unable to use surveillance center with Chrome browser
I have exactly same problem. This happened during the installation phase.
I hat HTTPS only option on and and somehow managed to get the surveillance center working (installed the viewer) when I realized that HTTPS is not supported. I switched HTTP on, rebooted the AS304T afterwirds Crhome insists to install the viewer again and again. IE works though.

Re: Unable to use surveillance center with Chrome browser
Chrome will no longer support the plugin used by Surveillance Center, it's considered to be insecure.
You need to use Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari, all of which will currently allow the plugin to work.
Asustor are working on a solution but there is no published timescale.
This is a browser issue and has nothing to do with HTTPS.

It also doesn't work on Microsoft Edge browser. Quite annoying after updating to Windows 10 to find out that doesn't work with this as well.

Re: Unable to use surveillance center with Chrome browser
All browsers will soon stop supporting all 3rd party plugins. This is a great step forward for the internet. Question is when will Asustor step up and make HTML5 supported surveillance center??
windows 10 also has no support.
Telling people to use an older browser is not an acceptable response.

It's been almost a year and many versions of Surveillance Center later, and still this does not work. The app is even on the front page of the asustor.com website, but 95% of the people that buy one won't be able to use it!ASUS604TU wrote:Chrome will no longer support the plugin used by Surveillance Center, it's considered to be insecure.
