Date/Time Stamp on recordings?

Greetings,
I have searched but have not found a way to have Surveillance Center stamp the time/date on the video recordings. I've seen something like an overlay of such information on surveillance videos and would like to do the same for my recordings.
I admit I'm a surveillance/NVR noob
, but this seems like a pretty basic thing. Is the ability to do this hidden somewhere I have not found?
