i found this in ASUSTOR College and I have to say this is a brilliant idea which is also very helpful

i didn't know that iTunes Server can also be used like that, my old qnap can only support home music sharing which is not very practical for me since i don't really need that. with the support of direct audio output (via HDMI) from asustor to my denon, and now I need no music or CD players :D

Just browsing through your post long time ago and then gave it a try with iPhone Remote app. After matching, AS-604T DOES output all of my music to Yamaha 5.1 amplifier through HDMI!!! And the iPhone Remote with all the familiar iPod layout, really makes me happy! :lol: :lol: :lol: Playing music all day long now under shuffle mode!
