The iTunes Server app can turn your NAS into your home's audio and video streaming center. It allows you to share music and movies from your NAS with computers in the same network environment.

Hi Chalky,

Can you tell me what kind of the music file it is? Please tell me the file extension since the iTunes Server doesn't support displaying the metadata of some specific file types, such as WAV.

As to album artwork, this seems to be a known limitation of the original open source project for iTunes Server, therefore, all the NAS devices feature with iTunes Server should have the same limitation. However, we will still dig into this and see if we can fix it for you.

Thanks,

It appears to be all files and when getting the iTunes info the Lyrics and Artwork tabs are greyed out?

Hi chalky,

You should be able to see the metadata but you won't be able to edit it. (please refer to the attached screenshot)
As to the artwork, iTunes Server doesn't support displaying it.
