Hi
Can anyone advise how I can prevent users from downloading files from a folder being given as read_only access?
Many thanks.
Mark

Re: Prevent User from downloading of Files?
Hello Mark,
You can't AFAIK. When a user has been granted read access (or read/write) to a folder they will be able to read file contents and save them elsewhere. Dropbox and Google for Business seem to be able to share files for view only. Maybe a feature request for Asustor?
Best regards,
Kapitein Haak.

Re: Prevent User from downloading of Files?
Hi
Thanks for your information - I was starting to think that was the likely situation. I think i'll be putting a request through in that case, as I can see it not just being useful for me but for many others out there, though I guess that read access means a user could use screen capture software in any case.
Thanks
Mark
