File copy error code Ref 5019

I'm trying to copy a 5.94 GB file which I suspect to be damaged,to a USB memory stick in order to try to repair it with Mac OSX utilities. The copy fails about 69% of the way through and generates the error code 'Ref 5019'. I haven't managed to find a list of error codes. Does anyone know where to find one and/or know what 5019 means?

It is most likely an OSX file manager issue. Try FTPing it.
