How To Manage/Access Volumes In NAS

Post by pchinz »

I have an ASUSTOR AS3304T NAS (4 bays) with 4 drives installed. There are 2 RAID 1 volumes, each with two drives. All drives and volumes are functioning properly.

1. How do I access or manage (other than configuration) Volume 2 separately from Volume 1? I would like to control what data goes to each Volume.
2. Or are they both part of a storage pool that to the "outside" (e.g. a workstation on the LAN) that can only appear as one connection?

You would create shares that should reside in either volumes.
AS5304T - 16GB DDR4 - ADM-OS modded on 2GB RAM
Internal:
- 4x10TB Toshiba RAID10 Ext4-Journal=Off
External 5 Bay USB3:
- 4x2TB Seagate modded RAID0 Btrfs-Compression
- 480GB Intel SSD for modded dm-cache (initramfs auto update patch) and Apps
