wondering if I should upgrade from 2.2.2RBB1 to the current 2.5.2..

I figure I need to go to 2.4 first then 2.5?

Hi BloodyCactus,

Yes. There was a huge system restructure in ADM 2.4.x. Thus, for the ADM version earlier than 2.4.2, you have to install the intermediate 2.4.2 version first, then proceed to ADM 2.5.2 upgrade.
