AS-606T not good responding while playing movie

I have a AS-606T, but when I play a movie on my TV (using HDMI) I have 2 issues

1) I get horizontal lines, flickering (not always), and I don't get these when I play the movie on my laptop
2) when playing a movie and I navigate back to my movie overview using my iphone (and I let the movie play in the background) the AS-606T is almost not responding (it really takes minutes to perform the action I need)

What can I do about this ?

I played .AVI extension file and it works well without any problem.

when I played the movie in the background, it works good as well.

I dont know what format did you play and did you try other formats?

you're right, its OK with avi, but with mp4 the interface almost doesn't respond.

Would it help if I extend the memory to 3GB. Maybe the horizontal glitches then also go away?!
