Hi (no python app part of the forum)

trying to get a python package to work with a weather station wh1080 and pyusb keeps on segfaulting, not sure if this is an issue with pyusb or with python installation on asustor. Any ideas?

We may need more information from you since we don't have the weather station wh1080 on hand.
1. Which version of pyusb is used?
2. Have you build-in any library, such as "libusb"?
3. Please explain how did you do in detail.

luckily? the segfault occurs without the weather station installed

1/ pyusb-1.0.0a2 unpacked and ran 'python setup.py install'
2/ I did not add in any library only those that came with the system to my knowledge
3/ installed pywws
4/ running TestWeatherStation.py creates segfault (a lot of the other scripts do to. This happenes whether or not the station is connected. Listing usb devices shows it is there when connected. I also tried the pyusb at https://github.com/walac/pyusb and it comes with some test scripts that also cause segfaults.
