Lost write rights to NAS
Suddenly I can;t copy anything to my NAS as I don;t have permissions. I didn't change anything but I had shut down the NAS, I have rebooted my PC and the NAS to no avail. Any thoughts please....

Hi konkonkaos,
May I know how do you transfer the file? through File Explorer or Samba?
if you transfer file through Samba, could you please try again via File Explorer?

Re: Lost ADMIN read/write rights
Hi Steve
Thanks for the reply. I was using Windows Explorer. It was working fine, not sure what I did, but I restarted the server at some stage, now I have had to change all the drive permissions to Read/Write for All Guests - this worked. Before I had it set so only my main PC would access as an admin.
How do I make it so only my main PC can read/write (and automatically login to the NAS) via Windows explorer, this was working before, I have mucked something up I guess.
Thanks.

Re: Lost write rights to NAS
Hi konkonkaos,
When you access NAS via Windows Explorer, is there any message dialog pop-up, if yes, there should be a check box with "remember my credential"
if you check the checkbox and apply the setting, next time you don't need to enter password when you access NAS again.
For the rest of PC, you can create another account in ADM. so you can have different access right for the NAS.
or you can try to map a network drive with different account access right.
here is a guide that you can refer to

the dialog like below br.

Doh... that is sooo simple, but it never came up again so I forgot about setting that up. Thank you so much.
