BAD email address from and smtp server

Hi,

I juste configure my new nas, when I configure email alerte the source email (from) was root@ :

From: ASUSTOR NAS <root@>

The return path was goog.
My configuration is to use a smtp relay because there is no smpt server on asus nas!

Is it possible to have a local server on the nas ?

Why not just use the Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo etc.? Isn't it much easier? I have set gmail as sending and receiving without any issues at all...

Because it's an issue as you say ^^
I talk with the support of that. I prefer have all the configuration who work normally without some bug or maybe misconfiguration.
