When I map to the destination localhost:8000 I can access the admin page but mapping localhost:5050 will not access CouchPotato's web UI. However mapping 127.0.0.1:5050 does work.
Likewise for CouchPotato and SickBeard to send NZBs to NZBGet and for NZBGet postprocessing (nzbToMedia) back to CouchPotato and SickBeard I must use 127.0.0.1 and not localhost.
After investigating, I noticed that /etc/hosts looks like this:
Code: Select all
::1 localhost
127.0.0.1 localhost
10.1.1.9 AS-604T-EA70
169.254.1.3 AS-604T-EA70
So I believe the admin page accepts connections on ipv6 whereas CouchPotato, SickBeard , NZBGet (and possibly many other Apps) do not.
Obviously the work-around is to use 127.0.0.1; but would it be possible to change the default order of the ipv6 v ipv4 localhost mapping in /etc/host or is there a way to make the system use both (and not just the first entry)?
