SoloHD TV Dongle Support.

Post by adrenalinenz »

I purchased a Hauppauge PCTV SoloHD to use in my AS6404T, after installing Media-Pack and LooksGood it's still not detected by my NAS, the following messages appear in dmesg:

>[ 64.685837] udevd[6881]: starting version 3.2
>[ 64.692502] udevd[6882]: starting eudev-3.2
[ 947.735719] usb 1-2: USB disconnect, device number 2
[ 952.422898] usb 1-2: new high-speed USB device number 3 using xhci_hcd
[ 952.588311] usb 1-2: New USB device found, idVendor=2040, idProduct=8268
[ 952.588320] usb 1-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=3, Product=1, SerialNumber=2
[ 952.588324] usb 1-2: Product: soloHD
[ 952.588327] usb 1-2: Manufacturer: HCW
[ 952.588331] usb 1-2: SerialNumber: 0013954119
[ 952.589076] usbip-host 1-2:1.0: 1-2 is not in match_busid table... skip!

usbip gives the following info:

root@NAS1:/volume1/.@root # usbip list -l
Local USB devices
=================
- busid 1-2 (2040:8268)
Hauppauge : unknown product (2040:8268)
1-2:1.0 -> unknown

The device is supported according to the compatibility web page.

I have installed the latest ADM version and restarted NAS, without success.

Is anyone able to help out?

What was the ADM version when the device initially did not work, before the ADM update after which the device also did not work?

Maybe the compatibility list was created at the time of some older ADM version when said device was actually compatible when tested at that time with that unknown older ADM version.

Just guessing here, but wouldn't be surprised myself as such things can happen when the core system gets updated all the time.

Can't recall the exact version, but I've kept it up to date, so previous version would have been the one just before the latest version.

Yea I wouldn't be surprised if it's not working because the drivers have been removed for whatever reason. I've submitted a support ticket in the meantime so hopefully something comes of that.
