AS6204T question for USB port on front panel

I tried to connect my external hard disk (WD mypassort 2TB) to USB 3.0 port on front panel. The disk cannot be mounted properly with green light on and off.
I also try to use my dock station with 1TB WD green drive, I have the same problem. The disk can be mounted, however, any browsing / copy action results in umounting the disk.
I tried with one USB stick (8GB), it looks okay.

My questions:
Is this a hardware *feature*?
Is this a hardware failure?
Is this a ADM issue?

I think you may try to change USB cable or plug onto USB 3.0 port on the back to see if there are any differences.

Thanks! Yeah, I fotgot to mention that both external hard disk and dock station are working properly with USB 3.0 port on the back which makes me feel confused.

Then, it might be a certain of compatibility issue. I think you should send a support request to asustor to check it. https://support.asustor.com/
