Hey there ... i am trying to improve my backup methods and thinking about hooking up a raidsonic icybox on the esata-port of my asustor NAS.

do you think the Asustor gonna recognise the as JBOD Single running discs in the icybox ?

One of my external enclosures is an Orico 3559 Raid 5, 5-bay enclosure, and it sees this enclosure and all 5 disks in the raid. The enclosure makes the raid itself, and I have to manage this from a Windows machine, but other than that, it works great.
I would guess any of Asustor's NASes are going to see what is presented to it as far as disks, etc. I think you need to do the formatting outside of the NAS, though.... Once that's done, everything should work well.
