New Comcast Router Problem

Installed Comcast Router Arris TG 1682G and cannot use cloud connect since, gives error "router not compatable". Why would cloud connect care what router you use?
Is there some setting to correct this?

Have Comcast put the router into Bridge Mode and then run your own router behind it. Then your router gets the external IP, and you can use Port Forwarding on it to make sure you have access to all of the apps you want to get through from a remote connection. I can heartily recommend the Asus RT-AC66U and RT-AC68U models.
