2 Ethernet ports use

Post by pchakris »

I ordered 602 couple of days ago, expecting it tomorrow. What is the use of these 2 Ethernet ports in asustor? I am new to this NAS server system. I am primarily using this NAS for multimedia and storage of my kids videos (very large files 20GB) and photos. I am planning to connect this nas to my TV (hdmi) and play videos to my home theater via PS3. Can I connect these 2 ports to my gigabit switch to increase through put? Does it need any change in settings in ADM?

you need a network switch that support link aggregation IEEE802.1ax or the previous IEEE 802.3ad

Thank you for the reply. Those switches are damn expensive (some of them over 2000$). I will just stick with my gigabit switch.
