Switch choice?

Post by Seanb »

What's a good switch for an Asustor 677402t? I want to support the 2.5 Gbe ports and aggregation, as well as the rest of my network. Currently I have a switch with 1 Gbe ports. I posted on the Asustor Twitter account but they clearly only use that for marketing. :(

I've used a Netgear MS510TX to aggregate the 2.5GbE ports on my AS5304T. It's not a cheap option but multi-speed managed switches never are.

Hi,

Best choice for now is the Netgear MS510TX and mandatory if you have more than one NAS with agregation (4 ports on 8)
https://www.amazon.fr/NETGEAR-MS510TX-1 ... C56&sr=1-5

A little low cost is the Zyxel Switch multigigabit 12 ports (145€ on Amazon today) BUT only 2 2,5 Gbs ports (and 2 10Gbs SFP and 8 1Gbs ports) ... so if agregation ... only for one NAS
https://www.amazon.fr/Zyxel-12port-Mult ... C56&sr=1-4

But search on the Web ... each week new switch administrable are coming ...
Philippe.
