I have been in possession of an Asustore A6604T for a few days now
Memory set to 8 mb went well
1 module SSD of 1 TB from wester digital WD blue, but it is not recognized in the setup or overview.
In storage manager both slots remain empty ,,, what could this be ??

You can try to remove SSD, then insert it again (when NAS is working). If the problem remains, you should send a support ticket to asustor: https://support.asustor.com/. Or you can post "dmesg" console output here if you know how to get this log...

rene, welcome to the club!!

The post is a month old, but maybe it's still a problem...

Just got my AS6604T a few weeks ago and drives finally arrived. Poking and playing...

Did you sort this out already? When I started playing with my NAS, I grabbed the SSD from my old laptop but the NAS didn't see it. Then I recalled having set a passowrd on the DELL laptop for Drivelock. Somehow Drivelock had completely locked the drive and I need to put it back in the Dell, remove Drivelock and then the NAS was happy.

Maybe not the problem you are having, but worth a try...
