AS1102T Incompatible with Toshiba 16TB HDD

While initializing, the NAS keeps giving me wild goose chases, keeps claiming S.M.A.R.T. detected a bad block but each time I check SMART info, all is well. Even Storage Manager's SMART Info show all is well.

Is there a workaround to getting the HDD to work?

PS. I bought this NAS less than 24 hours ago. Now trying to resell it LOL! FML!
