I have the AS3102T and use it as a media server. I was stupid enough to set up two disks in raid 0 (yes, I know ), and now one of the disks has a smart error and is beginning to make noises it shouldn't. Most files on the server seems to be ok still, though. I wanted to swap out the disks with new ones, but I also want to keep the data on them.
Can I pop the two discs in raid0 mode from the NAS into my PC and it'll keep the raid0 configuration? I understand that the file system might not be readable for Windows, but I could install Linux if need be. If that works, I could just upload the files to the NAS after I have installed the new disks. But something tells me it's not that simple
Possible to migrate raid 0 disks?

Re: Possible to migrate raid 0 disks?
To answer my own question, I think I've solved it:
- 1. Popped the two disks from the nas into my PC
2. Set up the new disks on the nas and mapped it to a drive on my PC
3. Installed DiskInternals Linux Reader (free software), which recognised the disks in raid 0
4. Move the files from the disks to the network drive
