Hi guys ...
I try those Goodram GR2400S464L17S/8G - DDR4, 2400 MHz, 260-pin SO-DIMM, on my AS6604T and was a total failure.
I don't know how the guy from youtube install this kind of memory on the same NAS and work very well ????
Maybe someone try this memory also to give some feedback ?
Thank you in advance

Hi Cristakke,

I have installed Kingston KVR24S17s8/8 8GB PC4-2400 CL17 260-Pin SODIMM so far no problems the NAS recognized the memory, I have installed 12 GB. I hope this helps you.

I just ordered the KVR24S17s8/16 module. I will let you know how it goes. And thanks Macaroni for the suggestion and confirmation on the 8/8.

Update on my last post, the Kingston KVR24S17s8/16 works great. I think i might buy another and bump up to 32gb.

Hi Macaroni
Do you install 8gb and leave the "original" 4gb inside NAS or you remove the 4gb and install fresh new 8gb ? and maybe another 4 gb ...
I presume you install only new 8gb kingston and leave 4gb = total 12gb.

Thank you for your post

Well I should get my AS6604T tomorrow and I just ordered 8GB memory: https://www.newegg.com/kingston-8gb-260 ... klink=true

I'll post back here with how it goes when it arrives! (And I'm curious to see some other responses here with their experience with adding RAM.)

Great info JAS155!

I am not sure you are right about the product number of Kingston. I checked it, non existing according to Kingston. I did find another product number: EAN: 0740617262704 or Kingston KVR24S17D8/16. So D8 and not S8. I think it stands for single or a double sided strip. Could you confirm, much appreciated! I want to order 32 GB as well :)

I got the Kingston KVR24S17D8/16 and installed it along with the 4MB that comes with the 6604 and no dice :(
I am going to try and remove it and then reinstall it to make sure that I have it installed properly ( trying a hail Mary here) , but it seems I will have to return it and get 2 8 MB ones.
I would like to remove the 4MB and try this one on its own, but I'm not sure I want to do that and dig deep into the NAS. It would be great to have 32 or even 16GB
Just thought I would share with you.

Thanks for the heads up AnubisB. Looking forward to the outcome of your endeavours! Will keep my order on hold.
