Hello !
I wish to switch from AS6302T to AS5202T but I'm worried about compatibility problems. If i move mys disks from the 6302T to the AS5202T, will it run recognize it exactly the same way ? I wouldn't like to have to reintitialize or format evetyhting... Will I have also to reinstall previous apps like Plex for example ?
thank you !

Yes. Simply move all of your disks on the old NAS to the new NAS. Then turn NAS on. Your original shared folders should be ready.
And, yes, you may need to re-install the apps (depends on models). Simply visit App Central.

As mentioned it should be easy, but i'd like to point out that if your data is important, it's always an good idea to do backups of it...
I've lost data before due to an update process in ADM and therefor by now i have 2 NAS' one backup and one main and a cold disk for backup too...
One thing is to setup ADM, but loosing data.. thats the worst part!

As far as I know, AS5202T CPU is GeminiLake series which is more capable on decoding performance (compared to AS63xxT).nvsuresh019 wrote:How is the performance differences between AS6302T and AS5202T, I am planning to buy one AS5202T for watching full HD or 4K movies an installing Plex, Kodi etc., SHould I buy Asustor 5202T or Asustor 6302T for my needs.
