Low speed AFP protocol

Post by obscur »

Help me please! I was almost desperate to solve the problem. Technical support is not responding, although I provided them with a username and password from the NAS.

Model: AS4004T
ADM Version: ADM 3.4.2.R932

Problem:
on a 10-gigabit connector, the exchange rate with the storage is only 250-300 megabytes. The storage in this case is 2 SSD drives in raid0. And it produces the same speed on a raid0 array of 2 HHD disks. That is, 10 gigabit potential is used only by a third. And it made no sense to buy storage with such a connector, nor SSD drives. I stick the storage with a standard wire in the 10gbe-thunderbolt3 adapter and then in thunderbolt3 on imac.
I would like to have at least 600-700 megabytes per second.

Questions:
how do i achieve this?

Finding bottlenecks is difficult. I think you may try Windows protocol first because Asustor tested it under Windows: https://www.asustor.com/product/performance?p_id=57.
