smaller capacity hard disk?

Can I trade a smaller capacity hard disk with a larger capacity disk if the information is smaller than the smaller capacity disk?
Using raid1 and want to use smaller disk as backup.

What do you mean "the information is smaller"? If you're referring to partitions, no Asustor officially doesn't support custom partitions.

Meaning the information stored on the drive is less than the capacity of the smaller drive.

Do you mean the larger capacity disk as some data that's smaller than the smaller disk capacity? If you want to use the larger capacity disk on the NAS, it has to be initialized.
