Hi!
I am wondering about buying the AS6510T.
Two things I do not like is the small fan for the power supply (noise level / single failure point of failure) but I guess
there is not much to fix there. But what I further wonder is how the factory 8gb ram are handled, if they can be
removed / replaced and if the replacement can be ECC ram (like 2x16GB or at least 2x8gb)
(something like: https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KSM29SES8_16ME.pdf or any other suggestions?)
If I look at the processors datasheet, than ECC is at least supported by the processor:

As far as I know, AS6510T supports ECC RAM. You can remove / replace it. However it's better that you can send an inquiry to make sure of it. https://www.asustor.com/about/contact_form?inquiry_type=1
