Can I use the NAS while it is synchronising?

Can I use the NAS while it is synchronising?
So it shows 7% synchronised in the Storage Manager. Should I wait until it completes? Pretty new with NAS devices.

What does it mean when it is synchronizing?

It's building the raid you selected for it to set up when you initialized the unit. This can take a bit of time to do, depending on the number of disks and the size of the raid. It's a good idea to wait on this to finish, since it can take a while, and data might be corrupted if you try writing a lot before it finishes.
