Sudo commands

Post by Falken »

Hi!

I have googled my self blind on how to activate sudo rights and commands on the Asustor AS7004, but, I have gone completely blind now as I cannot get it to work.

What am I doing wrong? I am trying to set up php-apc for example. But, many other things that I am interested in requires the sudo command to work also.

Today, the only terminal response I get when logged in via putty and the root account is: Sudo: not found. As in not pressent on the server at all. I have also searched the nas root directories with WinSCP without success. I find nothing that has to do with sudo.

So, is it any Sudo-commands available or not? If yes, HOW do I activate them?

I am ofcourse on the latest stable version of ADM: 2.5.3.RE23

Glad for any help you can give.

1) Install Optware ipkg in AppCentrale
2) ipkg update
3) ipkg install sudo

Hi,

You can also use Entware package (more up to date and maintained (opkg is dead and not maintained) ... Entware also provide real 64 bits version)

result is the same ... but maintained :
